Where does it come from?

Jim and Michele McCarthy met at Microsoft where they transformed the Visual C++ team from a marginal group into one of the best performing and most profitable groups in the company. They left Microsoft in 1996 and started McCarthy Technologies with the goal of developing technology to consistently transform any team into an ultra-high-performance team that guarantees results.

More than a thousand seasoned corporate executives and developers have participated in team formation and product development simulations (called BootCamp). Through these intense simulations, the McCarthys and the BootCamp teams developed a reproducible way to always get a team into a state of shared vision, leading to hyper-productivity and seamless communication. They developed a technology called The Core that encompasses key variables, structures and behavior.

When consistently applied by a team, The Core generates a state of shared vision. Previously, there were no reliable means for generating shared vision and the associated results.
